Know the market's formulation, not its marketing.
Hundreds of thousands of competitor labels are in here, normalized into comparable units. See what the market actually doses, which forms it uses, which products substitute for yours.
Brand plan includes full formulation intelligence.
Marketing tells you what they want you to think. Labels tell the truth.
- Competitive research on supplement formulations is mostly marketing research. Brand websites describe positioning, not composition. The real intelligence is in normalized label data: what dose does the market actually use for magnesium bisglycinate, what forms do premium brands choose for omega-3, what is the price per effective serving once you normalize for serving size and form?
- Reformulation happens without press releases. Brands quietly change ingredient forms, reduce doses, or swap sources — and your product positioning can become uncompetitive overnight without your team noticing. Reformulation alerts on watched competitors change that.
- Suplementor's normalization pipeline extracts and standardizes 200k+ formulations from label data — not marketing copy, not scraped descriptions, but the actual printed label values converted into comparable units.
Four intelligence questions the catalog answers.
Dose benchmarking
For any ingredient, see the actual distribution of doses in the market: median, range, and trend over time. Position your formulation against real market data, not competitor claims.
Form and bioavailability comparison
Compare ingredient forms across the market (e.g., magnesium bisglycinate vs. oxide vs. citrate) and their price per effective serving once serving size and form are normalized.
Substitute product identification
Which products overlap with yours closely enough to be direct competitive substitutes? Identify them by formulation match, not category keywords.
Reformulation alerts
Watch specific competitor products. Receive an alert when their ingredient list changes — form, dose, or source. Webhook or email delivery.
Frequently asked questions
How do you get competitor formulation data?
Supplement labels are public documents — brands are required to print them on packaging and list them on product pages. Suplementor extracts label data from publicly available sources, normalizes it through our ingredient resolution pipeline (which handles synonyms, unit conversions, and form disambiguation), and stores it in a verified catalog. We do not scrape marketing copy or infer formulations from ingredient panels. The data traces back to the printed label values.
Which markets and regions are covered?
The Suplementor catalog currently covers supplements sold in the EU and US markets, with EU coverage weighted toward products available via major online retail channels. Coverage grows as labels are submitted and verified. The normalization engine resolves ingredient names across EU and US naming conventions.
