Normalized supplement data, one API away.
Search the verified catalog, fetch normalized ingredient lists, and build on data that traces back to the printed label. Agents pay per call via x402; teams use subscription API keys.
Pay per call. No contracts.
Supplement data at machine scale.
- Every supplement in the Suplementor catalog has been extracted from a physical label, normalized into standardized units, and verified through a moderation pipeline. The result is structured data that traces back to the printed label — not scraped descriptions, not manufacturer marketing copy.
- For AI agents, this is available as a pay-per-call API using the x402 protocol (USDC on Base). No API keys, no contracts: send the request, receive a 402 with payment requirements, settle the micro-payment, retry. The OpenAPI 3.1 spec and llms.txt discovery surfaces make the API machine-readable.
- For supplement brands and research teams, the Brand plan includes subscription API key access for bulk catalog queries and integration workflows.
What the API provides.
Product search
Search the verified catalog by product name, brand, or ingredient. Returns normalized results with ingredient lists in standardized units.
Product detail
Fetch a full normalized ingredient list for any catalog product, with canonical substance IDs, normalized quantities, and form information.
x402 per-call access
AI agents pay per call in USDC on Base using the x402 protocol. No API keys or contracts required. The /.well-known/x402.json and /llms.txt discovery surfaces make the API self-describing.
Subscription key access
Brand plan subscribers get API key access for bulk queries and team integrations. Includes higher rate limits and batch endpoint access.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an API key to use the supplement data API?
It depends on your use case. AI agents can access the API without an API key using the x402 protocol — each call is paid for individually in USDC on Base. There are no keys, contracts, or sign-up steps: fetch the OpenAPI spec, send a request, handle the 402 response with payment requirements, and retry with the X-PAYMENT header. For teams and brands requiring higher rate limits or bulk access, API key subscriptions are available under the Brand plan.
What data does a product record include?
A full product record includes the product name, brand, and official product URL, plus a normalized ingredient list with: raw name as printed, canonical substance identifier, normalized quantity in standardized units, ingredient form where resolvable, and daily value percentage where applicable. All quantities are converted to a single unit (mg, mcg, g) per canonical substance so cross-product comparison is direct.
How is the supplement data verified?
Each product goes through a multi-stage moderation pipeline. Ingredient names are resolved against a canonical substance database to handle synonyms and trade names. Units are normalized using validated conversion factors. Data points that cannot be verified are flagged rather than silently accepted. The submitting source is recorded with each entry for traceability. Approved products carry a verified status in the catalog and in API responses.
Can I get bulk access or export the full catalog?
Bulk access is available under the Brand plan, which includes API key access and higher rate limits. Full catalog export is not currently offered as a standalone product — contact us to discuss specific use cases. The Brand plan waitlist is at the link below.
